The Department of Media Communications at the MTU Crawford College of Art and Design, offers undergraduate programmes in Visual Communications, Creative Digital Media and Photography with New Media. It offer programmes at Masters level in E-Learning Design and Development, Journalism and Digital Content Creation, and Public Relations with New Media along with Certificates (level 8) in TV Production and Digital Media Design and Development.
The BA (Hons) in Photography with New Media resides in the Department of Media Communications. The programme captures a unique balance of the practice and theory of photography, video and digital media and it prepares students to work as a professional maker of still and moving images. Students develop the creative, technical and analytical skills required for the photography, video and media industry and learn to use a wide range of traditional and emerging photography, video and media equipment and technologies. Students learn the technical, professional and business skills required to set up, run successful projects and to work in the media industries.
